About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Foundations Engineer to join our team at Jane. This role focuses on building modern, scalable frontend systems that enable product teams to solve unique problems in their domains. You'll be working on foundational systems including Module Federation, build tooling, our Burrito design system, and observability tools.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own and evolve our Module Federation architecture, strengthening topology and registry governance
- →Lead our frontend modernization strategy, defining and executing the deprecation path for legacy patterns
- →Act as a technical bridge across value stream teams, influencing architecture decisions
- →Grow our React Native foundation alongside the web platform
- →Elevate frontend observability across both web and mobile
- →Contribute to a 6-12 month technical strategy for the team's domains
- →Raise the technical ceiling for the team through architecture reviews and code reviews
- →Coach and elevate the people around you through code reviews and knowledge sharing
- →Champion AI-native development across the team
Requirements
- ✓Significant professional experience as a frontend or platform engineer at a Senior level
- ✓Deep experience with Module Federation, frontend build systems, and JavaScript ecosystem standards
- ✓Hands-on experience with React Native in a production environment
- ✓Proven experience modernizing legacy systems
- ✓Demonstrated architectural leadership through design docs and ADRs
- ✓Strong AI fluency and experience with AI-powered tooling
- ✓Comfortable operating as a technical co-leader alongside a Development Manager
- ✓Familiarity with frontend observability tooling like Sentry and Datadog
