About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers at JioStar, a leading global media & entertainment company. This role involves building scalable, high-performance systems that power advertising capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate with Product and Data teams to define technical strategy and drive measurable business outcomes
- →Guide technical architecture discussions, help unblock complex problems, and ensure system scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency
- →Build and nurture a high-performing team through mentorship, hiring, feedback, and career development
- →Establish and manage team processes for planning, execution, and continuous improvement
- →Represent the team in leadership forums, contributing to broader organizational direction and tech strategy
- →Lead by example through code/design reviews and technical guidance when required
Requirements
- ✓Hands-on experience with backend systems using Java, Golang, or Python
- ✓Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- ✓Familiarity with high-scale databases (MySQL, Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB) and streaming/message queues (Kafka)
- ✓Production experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
- ✓Track record of delivering cross-functional projects and growing engineering talent
- ✓Preferred education & qualification
- ✓Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or a related field
- ✓9+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in people management
- ✓Worked in high-scale environments and understand the nuances of latency, cost, and reliability in real-time systems
