About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team focused on building and scaling a cutting-edge observability and data platform in India.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead, hire, and mentor a team of backend engineers focused on distributed systems and database internals
- →Own execution and delivery of team roadmaps, timelines, and quality metrics
- →Collaborate with product management and engineering leadership to define and prioritize technical initiatives
- →Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards
- →Foster a strong engineering culture emphasizing ownership, excellence, and accountability
- →Support field engineering and customer-facing technical requirements when needed
- →Continuously raise the technical bar and drive innovation within the team
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of engineering experience with at least 2 years in an engineering management role
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- ✓Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems and database internals
- ✓Strong technical leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to grow and inspire a team
- ✓Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
- ✓Proven ability to manage delivery, execution, and roadmap planning in an engineering environment
- ✓Bonus: history of open-source contributions or committer experience on data-related projects
