About the Role
We are looking for a QA Performance Engineer to join Juniper Square, a company digitizing private markets. This role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to drive performance and load testing efforts, focusing on product quality and end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- →Review functional and non-functional requirements to identify performance risks early
- →Design, develop, and execute performance, load, and stress tests for web and backend systems
- →Build and maintain performance test scripts using Python, primarily leveraging Locust
- →Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and SRE teams to define performance benchmarks
- →Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks in application code, APIs, databases, or infrastructure
- →Produce clear performance test reports with trends, risks, and optimization recommendations
- →Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices
- →Monitor application performance during releases and contribute to capacity planning
- →Advocate for performance engineering best practices in the SDLC
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- ✓4-7 years in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years focused on performance testing
- ✓Strong hands-on experience designing and executing performance test strategies for web applications and APIs
- ✓Proficiency in Python for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable test code
- ✓Experience with performance testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, or Gatling
- ✓Solid understanding of performance metrics and profiling techniques
- ✓Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and backend services under load
- ✓Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and automated workflows
- ✓Basic knowledge of databases and their impact on system performance
- ✓Experience in performance test plans, scenarios, workload models, and test data strategies
- ✓Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail
- ✓Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical findings
