About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Lead to join our Platform team at Juniper Square. This role involves building and maintaining foundational services while improving the developer experience across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn product and technical vision into code
- →Advocate for and implement modern architectural patterns
- →Extend existing functionality to handle rapidly increasing scale
- →Monitor and optimize database queries to increase performance
- →Create internal tools to support other engineers and departments
- →Produce high-quality, thoroughly tested code and perform code reviews
- →Provide guidance, documentation, and support to product teams
- →Use observability tools to measure and enhance frontend application performance
- →Work closely with product engineers to align on platform improvements
Requirements
- ✓6-10 years of experience designing, building, and supporting large scale systems
- ✓Expertise in Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Pyramid, Django
- ✓Experience with SQL database schema design and query optimizations
- ✓Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
- ✓Experience with continuous integration and Infrastructure as Code
- ✓Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively
- ✓Passion for improving developer experience through better tooling, automation, and documentation
- ✓Flexibility and adaptability for a fast-paced startup environment
