About the Role
Justworks is seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Financial Analyst, Business Partner to support a broad portfolio across R&D, G&A, Marketing, and new product initiatives. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Corporate functions to drive financial planning, evaluate investments, and inform strategic decision-making.You will play a key role in supporting both core operations and growth initiatives, helping ensure resources are allocated effectively across product development, marketing investments, and new product expansion. This is a highly visible and collaborative role with exposure to senior stakeholders and evolving business priorities.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating across multiple workstreams, navigating ambiguity, and connecting financial insights to business outcomes. You should be equally strong in analytics and communication, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
What You'll Do
• Serve as a primary finance partner across R&D (Engineering, Product), G&A functions, Marketing, and new product initiatives
• Support forecasting and analysis of topline and bottom-line performance, including revenue drivers, and operating expenses
• Build and maintain driver-based financial models to evaluate investments across product development, new products, and marketing channels
• Partner with Marketing leadership to evaluate channel performance, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and return on investment, helping optimize spend allocation and growth efficiency
• Partner with stakeholders to assess trade-offs, prioritize investments, and optimize resource allocation across the business
• Assist in developing annual budgets and updating forecasts using real-time performance data, translating insights into clear business recommendations
• Track actuals vs. plan, explain key variances, and provide forward-looking guidance on risks and opportunities
• Define and monitor key performance indicators across product, operational, and marketing performance
• Support new product and international expansion efforts through business case development, scenario modeling, and ongoing performance tracking
• Drive cross-functional alignment by partnering with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to improve measurement frameworks and decision-making
• Support preparation of monthly and quarterly business reviews for senior leadership and the Board of Directors, including clear and concise storytelling of financial and operational performance
• Contribute to ongoing enhancements of financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes, including adoption of new tools and automation
• Complete ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and leadership requests

Qualifications
• 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Business Finance roles within a technology or high-growth company
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and driver-based modeling
• Experience supporting Product, or Engineering functions preferred; experience supporting Marketing, growth, or customer acquisition functions is a strong plus
• Experience supporting new products, zero-to-one initiatives, or ambiguous business areas is highly valued
• Experience with data tools such as SQL and familiarity with BI platforms (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders through clear insights and storytelling
• A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with FP&A and planning tools such as Adaptive Planning, Pigment, Anaplan, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with modern, AI-enabled analytics or finance tools is a plus
• Exposure to international or multi-entity environments is a plus
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $122,000.00 - $134,200.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
