Job Description Kalshi is pioneering the first regulated exchange for event trading, from CPI movements to climate records. We are seeking a talented Product Designer with a passion for financial products and empathy for traders. Your core mission is to transform complex financial ideas into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for all customers, from beginners to expert traders.
Role Responsibilities - Trading Experience Design: Design the entire trading experience on the Kalshi platform. - Simplicity & Intuition: Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks. - Prototyping: Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. - Execution Focus: Prioritize the most important elements of the experience to execute effectively on the highest priorities. - UX Research: Conduct user research and evaluate feedback to iterate on design solutions. - Standards: Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards. - Collaboration: Work closely with founders and engineers to bring complex ideas to reality.
Core Requirements - Experience: Proven experience as a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer, or similar role. - Domain Expertise: Experience building trading, investing, and/or financial products. - Tools: Proficiency in Figma or other visual design and wireframing tools. - Design Skills: Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio; deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design. - Methodology: Clear understanding of user-centered design and the ability to iterate designs efficiently and intelligently. - Communication: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions.
