Keboola raised $32M (Central Europe’s largest Series A in 2023) to redefine how companies work with data. Our platform delivers 10x results for customers and now we’re scaling globally to help every data team move faster, think smarter, and build with impact.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own Automation & Data Applications at Keboola. This is where users design and schedule automated data workflows, manage complex orchestration logic, query data interactively, and build customer-facing data applications that run on Keboola infrastructure.
This role sits at the intersection of developer tooling and business accessibility. Your users range from data engineers building complex pipelines and managing Git-synced code, to business analysts who need to create workflows and data apps without writing a line. You need to speak both languages fluently - and obsess over making the experience work for both. The best product here isn't the one with the most features; it's the one where more people successfully build things.
The competitive landscape is evolving fast - from app-building tools like Lovable and Base44 to workflow platforms like Zapier, Make, and n8n. You need to understand not just what competitors ship, but why users choose them.
We want someone who is AI-native by default - prototyping, analyzing, and writing specs with AI as a matter of course - and who can shape how AI transforms our product, from assisted flow building to intelligent automation. You take full ownership of your domain, prioritize through data over gut feeling, and have a sharp commercial instinct - understanding what drives expansion and how product decisions connect to business outcomes.Â
This is not an engineering management position. We need someone with deep user empathy - a PM who spends time understanding real pain points, talks to users constantly, and translates those insights into a product strategy that moves metrics. You need to care equally about the data engineer who wants fine-grained control and the business analyst who just wants to get a workflow running without asking for help. If you lean more toward writing specs than talking to customers, this is not the right fit.
What You Will Own
•
Data Workflow & Orchestration: The workflow scheduling and flow-building experience—how users design, trigger, condition, and monitor automated data pipelines. This needs to work for data engineers building complex multi-step flows and for business users setting up straightforward automations. You will inherit an active migration from legacy orchestrations to our next-generation conditional flows system, including driving adoption, managing the deprecation timeline, and getting the new system to GA.
•
Data Applications: Customer-facing applications built on Keboola data using JavaScript frameworks, custom container images, and modern app-building tools. For technical users, this means a solid developer workflow—building locally, syncing via Git, deploying from repositories. For business users, it means an experience simple enough that they can create and publish a data application without needing a developer.
•
SQL Editor & Interactive Query: The in-platform experience for writing, running, and exploring SQL queries against Keboola-managed data—including sessions, profiling, and documentation.
•
Developer Experience for Data Apps: The end-to-end workflow for technical users building data applications—from writing code locally to syncing via Git to deploying and running on Keboola’s cloud infrastructure.
•
Usage & Engagement Metrics: You own the numbers. How many workflows are being built? How often are data applications used? Where do users drop off, and why?
• Commercial Impact: You connect your product area to revenue—understanding how automation and data applications drive expansion, reduce churn, and create upsell opportunities.
Requirements
•
5–8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2–3 years on technical or developer-facing products.
•
Direct experience with workflow automation platforms, data applications, developer tools, or orchestration products (think Zapier, Make, n8n, Retool, or similar).
•
Hands-on familiarity with Python, SQL, Git, and cloud-native development workflows.
•
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks or other tools for building data-driven applications.
•
Demonstrated ability to drive product adoption and engagement metrics—not just ship features.
•
Track record of connecting product decisions to commercial outcomes—expansion revenue, retention, or monetization.
•
Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken). Czech is a plus but not required.
•
Familiarity with the emerging AI-powered app-building landscape (Lovable, Hugging Face Spaces, Base44, v0).
•
Experience working in a product-led growth or usage-driven environment.
Nice to Have
•
Previous experience as a data engineer, developer, or in a technical role before transitioning to product.
•
Experience with Keboola or comparable platforms (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, dbt).
•
Background in building or managing products that involve GitHub integrations or local-to-cloud sync workflows.
You can look forward to the following benefits
• Competitive salary + equity package.
• Budget for education.
• 25 PTO's plus 3 sick days.
• Cool new offices in the heart of Holesovice in Prague. You need to be 3 times a week in the office.
• No set office hours and flexibility.
