About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join Kindred, a members-only home swapping platform that enables travel-rich lifestyles through community-based exchanges. In this role, you will lead the technical strategy for our core product experience, addressing complex challenges in Matching Optimization, Growth Flywheels, and Marketplace Health.

Key Responsibilities

→Act as a Strategic Thought Partner, partnering with Product Managers and leaders to define business problems and measurement strategies
→Architect Marketplace Intelligence by building predictive models to refine Kindred’s matching algorithms
→Lead and Scale Experimentation, owning the end-to-end experimental framework with advanced causal inference
→Own the Full-Stack Data Lifecycle, designing event structures and collaborating with Data Engineering to build a scalable data platform
→Influence and Educate stakeholders by translating complex analytical concepts into actionable recommendations

Requirements

✓8+ years of experience in a quantitative role with a proven track record of influencing strategy at a leadership level
✓Expertise in SQL and Python/R, with experience moving projects from concept to production-grade ML models
✓Mastery of Causal Inference and Experimental Design, including experience beyond simple A/B tests
✓Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to simplify complex concepts and persuade senior stakeholders
