About the Role
We are looking for a freelance industrial designer to help bring our consumer hardware products to life. This role focuses on creating manufacturable designs for AI-powered devices, starting with a smart ring for voice recording and agent interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- →Contribute to industrial design for consumer hardware products, primarily the smart ring
- →Develop form, structure, and detailed design solutions
- →Work closely with hardware engineers to balance aesthetics, structure, and manufacturability
- →Support CMF (color, material, finish) exploration and decisions
- →Iterate quickly based on feedback and constraints
- →Deliver production-ready design outputs (CAD, renders, manufacturing guidance)
- →Communicate with factories or suppliers when needed to validate designs
Requirements
- ✓Background in industrial design or a related field
- ✓Experience designing consumer electronics or small hardware products
- ✓Understanding of structure, materials, and basic manufacturing processes
- ✓Ability to work independently and iterate quickly
- ✓Comfortable working as a freelance or project-based contributor
