About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join Kitware's Systems Administration team. This role involves maintaining critical infrastructure for research and development engineers and support staff across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

→Provide support for end-user hardware and software including Windows, Linux, and macOS
→Install, configure, and update software in accordance with policies and security requirements
→Manage user accounts including account creation, modification, and deactivation
→Support regulated and customer-sponsored computing environments, including those subject to security clearance
→Handle support requests submitted via the helpdesk system
→Maintain hardware inventory, including ordering of equipment
→Act as liaison to outside vendors such as Dell and Apple
→Advise on future hardware and software needs

Requirements

✓U.S. citizenship required, with willingness to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance and CI polygraph
✓Bachelor's or associate's degree in an IT-related field, with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent
✓Security+ certification or willingness to obtain
✓Experience with MS Windows and Linux
✓Experience with wired and wireless networks
✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✓Strong written and oral communication skills
✓Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
