About the Role

You will help build the next generation of how customers interface and apply for financing with Koalafi. This role involves championing and driving front-end strategy while working with the latest technologies to modernize legacy systems and improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

→Work with Design and Product to improve and maintain the application experience for customers and merchant partners
→Review feature requirements and propose implementation options
→Collaborate cross-domain to understand impacts and limitations of proposed requirements
→Engage in agile processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups
→Oversee delivery of features from development to production
→Help evaluate priority, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs
→Research and implement emerging technologies to improve system performance
→Drive front-end strategy with a focus on maintainability
→Act as a technical mentor for UI development
→Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards
→Improve application observability to understand customer behavior
→Minimize application bundle size and load times
→Utilize AI tooling to streamline implementation cycles

Requirements

✓Four-year college degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Systems
✓6+ years of experience with modern web technologies (React, Vue, Angular)
✓Experience in UX from accessibility to user behavior
✓Knowledge of front-end tooling and best practices
✓Experience writing end-to-end test suites using tools like Cypress or Playwright
✓Knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs
✓Understanding of HTTP/REST architecture
✓Knowledge of architecting and delivering applications in AWS
✓Knowledge of scrum/agile software development process
✓Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
✓Highly self-motivated and directed
✓Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
✓Excellent communication skills
