About the Role
We are looking for a Microservices Developer to join Kong Inc. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining microservices that power Kong Konnect, the Service Connectivity Platform. You will work closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to develop software that directly impacts customers' businesses and Kong's success.
Key Responsibilities
- →Implement and maintain services that power Konnect, such as Kong's cloud-hosted control plane.
- →Design and implement solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.
- →Support services in production by participating in an on-call rotation.
- →Write automated tests to ensure code behavior and avoid regressions.
- →Perform any additional tasks required by the manager.
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience developing, delivering, and maintaining complex software solutions in a team.
- ✓Experience in Go.
- ✓Experience building and debugging microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- ✓Experience with DevOps monitoring and observability.
- ✓Experience with L4/L7 proxies such as Nginx, HA-proxy, Envoy, or others.
- ✓Experience developing and supporting a large-scale SaaS platform with knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes.
- ✓Expertise in designing and writing APIs and API lifecycle management.
- ✓Expertise with data modeling in relational databases.
- ✓Understanding of and development with git and Github workflows.
- ✓Expertise in test-driven development and automated testing.
- ✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
