The Presentation Designer plays a key role in supporting partners, directors and teams across KPMG New Zealand to bring their ideas to life through high‑quality, on‑brand PowerPoint deliverables. This is a specialist role focused exclusively on PowerPoint design, combining strong execution skills with sound judgement, New Zealand cultural awareness, and the confidence to contribute ideas that enhance clarity and impact.
Sitting within the Brand team, the role works closely with stakeholders to translate business content into clear, well‑structured and visually engaging deliverables for business development, client delivery, internal communications and leadership forums.
Day to day you will:
• Design and deliver high quality PowerPoint materials, including client proposals, reports, presentations, templates, charts and diagrams, in line with agreed briefs and timelines.
• Apply New Zealand cultural competency, ensuring designs are appropriate for local audiences and aligned to KPMG New Zealand’s context, values and business norms.
• Work with stakeholders across the firm, including partners, directors and senior leaders, professionally clarifying briefs and responding to feedback.
• Ensure all PowerPoint outputs consistently apply KPMG brand, and, where required, client brand elements and guidelines.
• Manage multiple pieces of work concurrently, maintaining quality, accuracy and attention to detail under time pressure.
• Collaborate effectively with the wider Brand team and with external specialists where required.
• Champion KPMG’s brand elements and guidelines across the firm.
About you:
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in PowerPoint/Presentation design, with confidence working with charts, diagrams and templates, preferably in a corporate environment.
• A portfolio or examples of design work that demonstrate strong layout, visual hierarchy, storytelling and attention to detail.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, with some working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Illustrator).
• Ability to work directly with senior stakeholders, including partners and directors, in a professional and responsive manner.
• Willingness to contribute constructive ideas and design solutions, rather than only executing instructions.
• Interest in design trends, tools and emerging technologies, with a curiosity to keep learning and improving.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Good level of New Zealand cultural awareness, with an understanding of local business audiences and expectations.
• Comfortable working in a PC-based environment.
