About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Mobile Engineer to join the Growth Onboarding team at Kraken. This role involves leading complex technical initiatives that shape mobile onboarding experiences for Kraken's products. You will drive architectural direction, mentor engineers, and ensure systems are scalable and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the technical direction for mobile onboarding initiatives across Kraken products
- →Design and evolve high-quality mobile applications using React Native
- →Partner with Product, Design, and Data teams to identify onboarding and activation opportunities
- →Architect reusable mobile components and systems that support experimentation
- →Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions across mobile and product engineering teams
- →Ensure strong engineering standards across the mobile stack
- →Collaborate across teams to align on architecture, tooling, and technical strategy
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience leading large-scale mobile projects or owning critical mobile systems end-to-end
- ✓Deep expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript, with strong experience building applications using React Native
- ✓Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimization, and scalable UI systems
- ✓Experience designing systems that support experimentation and data-driven product development
- ✓A product mindset focused on user impact and measurable outcomes
- ✓Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and design teams
- ✓Experience operating autonomously in a distributed, remote-first environment
