About the Role
A leading engineering services provider supporting advanced U.S. Army aviation programs is seeking Software Engineers to join a mission-critical avionics development team. These roles support a next-generation vertical lift aircraft program focused on modernizing military aviation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop, integrate, and test software for safety- and mission-critical avionics systems
- →Implement algorithms and features within C/C++ applications
- →Design, debug, and validate real-time embedded software
- →Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and systems engineering teams
- →Support documentation, defect resolution, and performance verification
- →Assist with certification efforts and compliance to safety standards
Requirements
- ✓U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. passport
- ✓Active DoD Secret clearance (clearable candidates considered, preference for active clearance)
- ✓Residence in New York State
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- ✓2+ years of software engineering experience
- ✓Strong proficiency in C++ (C and/or Python a plus)
- ✓Experience working in Agile development environments
- ✓Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
