Launch Potato is seeking a Python Backend Developer to join their high-growth digital media company. You'll develop and support robust backend features and integrations across various services and environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop backend application features and third-party integrations
- →Support development and implementation of backend features across legacy and new systems
- →Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business needs
- →Contribute to feasibility discussions and early-stage prototyping
- →Implement backend functionality with attention to performance, readability, and maintainability
- →Maintain and improve application monitoring through alerts, dashboards, and logs
- →Debug and resolve production issues
- →Support infrastructure tasks using tools like Terraform, ECS, and Lambda
- →Engage in code reviews and pair programming to improve system architecture knowledge
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of professional development experience with Python
- ✓Experience with containerized Python/Django (or FastAPI) services
- ✓Experience deploying backend systems using Python frameworks
- ✓Proficiency in troubleshooting production bugs in systems with limited QA support
- ✓Strong grasp of SQL databases, CI/CD (especially CircleCI), containerized solutions, and infrastructure as code
- ✓Comfortable contributing ideas, giving peer feedback via pull requests, and driving technical improvements autonomously
