About the Role
We are looking for a Mobile Engineer to join our team at LemFi, a financial app for the Global South. This role focuses on building and evolving mobile experiences used by customers worldwide, specifically designing and delivering high-quality, secure, and performant Android applications for a fast-growing fintech platform.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build High-Quality Apps: Design and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable Android applications using Kotlin.
- →Deliver Exceptional UX: Collaborate with Product and Design to implement intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
- →Ensure Code Quality: Write clean, testable code, participate in code reviews, and uphold strong engineering standards.
- →Optimise Performance: Debug, profile, and continuously improve application performance, stability, and responsiveness.
- →Integrate Systems: Work with internal services and external APIs to deliver reliable, end-to-end mobile features.
- →Support Team Growth: Contribute to technical discussions, share best practices, and support the growth of the mobile engineering team.
Requirements
- ✓Strong experience building Android applications using Kotlin.
- ✓Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Kotlin Compose UI, and best practices.
- ✓Experience with modern Android architecture patterns (e.g. MVVM, Clean Architecture).
- ✓Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
- ✓Familiarity with third-party libraries and Android tooling.
- ✓Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle, including testing and release.
- ✓Experience publishing and maintaining Android apps in the Play Store.
