About the Role
LemFi is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the technical strategy for their Remittance Platform, which processes tens of millions of cross-border transactions monthly. This role involves driving architectural decisions and setting technical standards across the engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions across multiple teams
- →Establish and uphold benchmarks for design, implementation, testing, reliability, and scalability
- →Take hands-on ownership of high-stakes system components
- →Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and leads
- →Collaborate with Product, Data, and Growth stakeholders to align technical roadmap
- →Shape company-wide engineering standards and improve tooling and processes
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of experience building scalable, production-grade distributed systems
- ✓Deep expertise in Go for building distributed services
- ✓Proven track record in Domain-Driven Design, modular architecture, and RESTful APIs
- ✓Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, and async patterns like Kafka
- ✓Experience with AWS architectures, Docker, and shift-left automation
- ✓Strong experience in logging, metrics, and distributed tracing standards
- ✓Bonus: Degree in Computer Science or experience in FinTech/Banking domain
