About the Role
We are seeking a Mobile QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality of our mobile applications. This role involves planning, executing, and maintaining testing processes for mobile features and releases.
Key Responsibilities
- →Plan, prepare, and execute testing for mobile features and releases in collaboration with the Test Manager and mobile engineering team
- →Participate in requirements and UX reviews to clarify acceptance criteria, edge cases, and mobile-specific behaviours
- →Design and maintain structured mobile test cases in Jira/Confluence, ensuring coverage across platforms and device types
- →Create test cases in Gherkin format to support BDD and clear communication with developers and product owners
- →Execute various types of testing on real devices and simulators/emulators, across different OS versions and screen sizes
- →Manage and validate mobile builds in staging and production environments
- →Log, triage, and track defects in Jira, working closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
- →Perform targeted regression testing for resolved bugs and high-risk journeys
- →Contribute to mobile test automation by designing, reviewing, and maintaining automated tests
- →Use test management and collaboration tools to document plans, execution status, and test evidence
- →Provide clear, timely reporting on testing progress, risks, and quality status to stakeholders
- →Continuously improve test coverage and process, suggesting improvements to our mobile QA strategy
