About The Team
The Ecosystem team is a lean, high-impact squad operating at the intersection of product strategy, business development, and external innovation. Working closely with Life360βs VP of Product, this team is focused on identifying, testing, and scaling new value propositions that emerge from integrating external partnersβ data and experiences into the Life360 product experience. This is early-stage, entrepreneurial work β you will define the playbook as you go, moving fast and staying close to customers and partners to learn what creates genuine value for families and validating your assumptions.
About the Job
This is a senior individual contributor role. As Product Director of Ecosystem & Partnerships, you will report directly to the VP of Product and evolve the ecosystem strategy for Life360 β defining which external partners, integrations, and platforms can meaningfully expand the value we deliver to members and their families.
You will operate in zero-to-one territory: building hypotheses about how partnerships can unlock new use cases or deepen engagement, designing lightweight experiments to test them, interpreting the results, and determining whatβs worth scaling. You will work hand-in-hand with Life360βs BD team to evaluate potential partners, shape integration concepts, and bring the most promising opportunities to life as product experiences.
The ideal candidate navigates undefined problem spaces with confidence, thinks in systems, has a track record of building new things from scratch, and brings both the strategic vision to see around corners and the tactical rigor to run disciplined experiments. You know how to collaborate well, but maintain strong conviction on building customer-centric value as your north star.
The US-based salary range for this position is $201,500-$294,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What Youβll Do
β’ Partner with the VP of Product and BD leadership to define and evolve Life360βs ecosystem strategy β identifying the categories of partnership that can generate the most value for members and for the business
β’ Develop a structured hypothesis framework for evaluating partnership and integration opportunities, drawing on customer insights, competitive analysis, and strategic fit
β’ Design and run rapid experiments to test the value of specific partner verticals and JTBDs
β’ Work directly with external partners to define integration scopes, align on value propositions, and shape the product experiences that will go in front of Life360βs members
β’ Synthesize learnings from experiments and partner conversations into clear recommendations for what to build/platformize, what to deprecate, and where to explore next
β’ Build the internal business cases for future ecosystem investments, working with Finance, Legal, and Engineering to assess feasibility, cost, and expected return
β’ Serve as the connective tissue between BD, Product, and Engineering β ensuring partner integrations are technically sound, on-brand, and genuinely valuable to families
β’ Stay close to the competitive landscape and emerging trends in family tech, connected devices, and digital ecosystems to proactively surface new strategic opportunities
What Weβre Looking For
β’ 12+ years of product management experience, having reached staff, principal, or director-level IC scope
β’ Demonstrated track record of building new products or lines of business from zero β experience with 0β 1 product development is essential
β’ Experience working on or alongside partnerships, BD, or platform/ecosystem strategy at a consumer or B2C technology company
β’ Strong strategic thinker who can move fluidly between big-picture vision and hands-on experimentation
β’ Comfort with ambiguity and rapid learning cycles: you form clear hypotheses, design lean tests, and let data guide next steps
β’ Communicates complex strategy clearly and persuasively to senior leadership, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders
β’ Collaborative: you know how to build trust quickly with BD counterparts, external partners, and engineering teams alike
β’ Familiarity with API-driven integrations, platform partnerships, or connected hardware ecosystems is a plus
β’ Familiarity with AI-native development environments and product development tools
β’ Experience working in a fast-moving, mission-driven consumer tech company is strongly preferred
