About the Role
We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join the Foundation Team at Light, a company revolutionizing financial software. This role involves architecting the internal AI Engine that powers every AI feature at Light.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect the Engine: Design and build a production-grade Agent Runtime for autonomous agents
- →Define the Standard: Evolve internal GenAI Client and SDKs for standardized LLM interactions
- →Solve for Trust: Build reliability frameworks and testing pipelines for AI deployment
- →Expand the Ecosystem: Lead integration with external platforms via Model Context Protocol
- →Governance & Scale: Design guardrails and strategies for scalable AI infrastructure
Requirements
- ✓Strong background in building scalable backend systems or internal developer platforms
- ✓AI Native Mindset: Understanding of Agents, Chains, MCP, and latest AI developments
- ✓Proficiency in Kotlin or willingness to learn it
- ✓Focus on determinism and building reliable AI systems
- ✓Force Multiplier Attitude: Preference for unblocking others with tools
