About the Role
Lightspeed is seeking a Python Developer to join their Hospitality product group. This role will support the expansion of their hospitality commerce platform into new markets while building a subscription management service for hospitality customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and maintain software components using the Python ecosystem
- →Develop backend services and APIs with fastAPI, Kafka, Redis, and AWS
- →Implement event-driven architecture focusing on resilience and accuracy
- →Ensure reliability, performance, and accuracy of systems
- →Fix bugs and proactively care for systems
- →Analyze root causes of problems and incidents
- →Prioritize technical debts aligning with technical roadmaps
- →Collaborate with other teams for microservices integration
- →Use LLMs to accelerate development safely and robustly
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python
- ✓Strong English communication skills and team collaboration abilities
- ✓Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
- ✓Understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and distributed systems
- ✓Experience with databases such as MySQL or DynamoDB
- ✓Knowledge of monitoring applications for performance and reliability
- ✓Experience with Kafka
- ✓Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Commitment to clean code, maintainability, and systematic correctness
