About the Role
LinkedIn is looking for a Senior Incident Response Engineer to join our Information Security organization. This role is integral to protecting our infrastructure, applications, and members through security monitoring and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- →Independently triage security alerts and incident reports
- →Investigate incidents using forensic and threat hunting skills
- →Drive small to medium scale incidents to closure with partner teams
- →Conduct host, network, and log analysis for incident response
- →Enhance in-house incident response platforms and build new capabilities
- →Participate in oncall activities
- →Work with partner teams including PR, HR, Legal, and Engineering
- →Contribute to improving processes, procedures, and technologies
- →Provide feedback to detection engineering team
- →Support mentoring and technical development of team members
Requirements
- ✓Years of real-world experience in incident response and investigations
- ✓Experience developing playbooks and improving response processes
- ✓Ability to lead large scale incidents and mentor junior team members
- ✓Strong forensic and threat hunting skills
- ✓Experience with host, network, and log analysis
- ✓Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments
