About the Role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our world-class Infrastructure engineering team at LinkedIn. This role focuses on building next-generation reliability platforms and systemic resilience solutions that safeguard LinkedIn’s most critical Online Data and Streaming Services.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers
→Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology roadmap
→Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action
→Work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack
→Manage teams to scale distributed applications and make architectural trade-offs
→Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications
→Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly

Requirements

✓Expertise in distributed systems and operational excellence
✓Deep expertise in OLTP databases such as MySQL
✓Experience with streaming systems such as Kafka
✓Knowledge of compute infrastructure powered by Kubernetes
✓Ability to design automation-first systems and strengthen observability
✓Experience with intelligent autoscaling and self-healing mechanisms
✓Understanding of chaos testing to protect SLAs at global scale
✓Experience with AI-native engineering practices
✓Familiarity with open-source infrastructure projects like Apache Kafka, Pinot, Azkaban, Samza, Venice, DataHub, and Feather
✓Knowledge of industry-standard technologies like Kubernetes, gRPC, and GraphQL
