The AI Technology Team within our Product Technology Group serves as BOLDβs internal incubator for applied AI, leveraging the latest large-language models to tackle our most complex challenges.
What you'll do
β’ Design, implement, and maintain browser automation scripts for new core products
β’ Design systems to monitor large-scale browser automation systems for errors and drift
β’ Develop robust testing and continuous integration strategies
β’ Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables
β’ Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end products & features
β’ Mentor junior automation engineers and educates them on best practices
β’ Rise above detail to see broader issues and implications for the whole product/team
What you'll need
β’ Experience level: 5+ years of professional software engineer experience from design to release, with strong understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript
β’ Extensive knowledge of browser automation tooling (Playwright, Selenium, or Puppeteer)
β’ Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, and the DOM
β’ Experience debugging intermittent automation failures and race conditions
β’ Implementing or automating complex DOM patterns (shadow DOM, embedded iframes)
β’ Depth of knowledge on general web architecture (network requests, cookies, fingerprints, Captchas, etc.)
β’ Deep intellectual curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems
β’ Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
What's good to have
β’ Experience with web scraping at scale
β’ Experience building LLM agents in any domain
β’ Understanding of cloud computing (Azure, AWS) applied to automation
β’ Understanding of the current state of bot detection on the web
β’ API programming in JavaScript, Web service development - micro services, micro UIs, REST APIs
