Senior DBA (Oracle) at Livecareer

BOLD is seeking a senior professional to provide support for various Oracle and MS SQL databases. This person will perform database structure and software maintenance and implementations, support database tuning and consultation, and assist with database configuration implementation. The person will also participate in incident, change, and problem-management activities. ABOUT THIS TEAM Infrastructure team provides various services including automation, observability, cloud/server/network architectures, CICD, infrastructure as code, database administration, incident management, vendor management, security and compliance, and acquiring new skills. These services help to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure fast and reliable application releases while maintaining security and compliance. Techops help teams monitor applications and infrastructure, create resilient infrastructure, identify and resolve IT service issues, manage vendors, and ensure cloud security and compliance. The team also focuses on continuous learning and implementing new technologies to provide better value to the organization. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Enhancing the scalability and performance of existing database architecture. • Protecting data by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls. • Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics. • Developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality. • Performing database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software. • Documenting processes and complying with best practices in database management WHAT YOU’LL NEED • Knowledge of Physical design of a database cluster, RAID/SAN and likewise. • Strong understanding of Oracle, Oracle EBS along with at least 1 other DB technology (SQL Server/MySQL/Mongo) • Strong understanding of Database concepts, experience with Oracle upgrades, maintenance, access management, backups etc. • Hands-on experience in SQL, MongoDBorMySQL operations, upgrades, migrations, optimization in AWS RDS, Azure DBs etc. • Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux command line options. • Experience on DB migrations, maintenance and optimization strategies • Experience in implementing operational automation using automation tools / scripts. • Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics. • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using. • Ability to detect and troubleshoot CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention. • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking & deadlocking • Experience with data modelling, database architecture and design (SQL, No SQL and hybrid SQL/No SQL environments). • Experience with backups, restores and recovery strategies. • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options • Capacity Planning (Backup Share, Disk, CPU, Memory etc.) • Able to manage demanding stakeholders on technical solutions and align architects EXPERIENCE- • Sr. DBA (Oracle)- 4.5 years+ About Bold We Transform Work Lives As an established global organization, BOLD helps people find jobs.
