Customer Delivery Engineers (CDEs) own the end-to-end deployment and execution of customer satellite missions at Loft. We serve as the primary technical interface to our customers and translate mission objectives into operational reality, from early requirements and ConOps development through commissioning, on-orbit operations, and continuous improvement.

CDEs operate real spacecraft and work directly with customers to build mission applications on top of Loftβs API and operational infrastructure. You will translate mission objectives into executable workflows, configurations, and tooling that ensure reliable, scalable on-orbit execution. You will sit at the intersection of satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program execution, delivering meaningful outcomes for every mission you support.

β’ Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
β’ Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
β’ Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer, just care about good UX)
β’ Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
β’ Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
β’ Getting hands-on with satellite operationsβeveryone at Loft plays a role in mission success!
β’ Tech stack:

Must Haves:
β’ Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
β’ Experience with Vue or React
β’ Experience working on SPAs
β’ Experience with GraphQL APIs
β’ Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress
Nice to Haves:
β’ Experience with Web Components
β’ Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries β e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
β’ Interest in Space or Aerospace β No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
