About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Golden Path Team in the Rider organization at Lyft. This role involves leading a team of engineers working on critical Rider flows, shaping the core Lyft rider user experience, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead a team of talented engineers who enjoy shipping code and tackling hard engineering problems
- →Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members
- →Provide continuous feedback and recognize individual strengths and contributions
- →Collaborate with product counterparts to shape UX and features
- →Work with engineers and product managers to maintain a prioritized backlog and create goals
- →Ensure the team delivers scalable, highly-available products that delight riders
- →Build relationships across functions with Support, Marketing, and other teams
- →Work with the recruiting team to hire high-potential candidates
- →Instill a spirit of continuous improvement in the team’s code, architecture, and processes
- →Build a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- ✓3+ years of experience managing engineering teams
- ✓Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance
- ✓Experience building, shaping, and delivering on roadmaps
- ✓Experience launching consumer-facing products
- ✓Experience with data-driven experimentation and collaboration with data scientists
- ✓Experience architecting, building, and scaling distributed systems
- ✓Strong technical foundation in mobile or server engineering
