About the Role
Lyft is seeking a Security Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role focuses on building secure systems and enabling engineering teams to deliver secure services at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Help establish roadmaps and prioritize projects based on stakeholders’ needs
- →Understand and develop detections related to security events at Lyft
- →Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code
- →Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
- →Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices
- →Supporting and improve our existing detection pipelines
- →Lead large projects from idea to successful execution
- →Unblock, support and communicate with internal partners to achieve results
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of software engineering and security engineering industry experience
- ✓Solid experience with a high level programming language
- ✓Exposure to Database technologies including NoSQL
- ✓Experience (or deep interest in) working with security systems
- ✓Understanding of computer network security or major computer networking protocols
- ✓Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or any other major cloud service provider
- ✓Kubernetes and container technology experience
