About the Role
The Applied AI team at Lyft is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the AI Entries team. You will build foundational infrastructure connecting Lyft to emerging AI ecosystems and devices, and architect APIs and orchestration layers for third-party agents and multimodal interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive high-impact projects and innovate new solutions for the best user experience
- →Lead large features from concept to execution and launch
- →Write well-crafted, tested, readable, and maintainable code
- →Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing
- →Troubleshoot and resolve issues across applications and platforms
- →Explain technical trade-offs made in decisions
- →Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Requirements
- ✓BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- ✓2+ years of software engineering/production infrastructure experience
- ✓Experience with Python and Go
- ✓Proficiency in object-oriented programming
- ✓Experience with data structures or algorithms
- ✓Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team
