About the Role
We are looking for product-focused Android software engineers to join our Rider Team at Lyft. This role involves building and improving technologies that enrich the lives of our community, collaborating with various teams to empower quick iteration while focusing on delighting passengers and drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Keep up-to-date with Android and industry developments
- →Build great UX for millions of users
- →Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to build complex features and products
- →Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code
- →Analyze internal systems and processes to locate areas for improvement/automation
- →Share knowledge through tech talks and promoting engineering best practices
- →Identify, triage, debug and resolve issues across applications and platforms
- →Participate in code, product, and design reviews to provide feedback
Requirements
- ✓BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- ✓Experience with large scale Android applications
- ✓Experience with Kotlin
- ✓Experience with architecture paradigms like unidirectional and reactive programming
- ✓Experience with Jetpack Compose, unit and snapshot testing
- ✓Great product sense with a focus on usability and design
- ✓Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team
