Responsibilities:
β’ Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
β’ Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
β’ Participate in our teams oncall rotation. Identify, triage, debug and resolve issues/bugs across our various applications and platforms
β’ Have the ability to explain the various trade offs made in decisions
β’ Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
β’ Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to build complex features and products from idea to positive execution
β’ Analyze our internal systems and processes and locate areas for improvement/automation
β’ Participate in AI-augmented development workflows for code review, testing, and documentation
β’ Contribute to reusable platform capabilities to transition from product-by-product solutioning to scalable, config-driven infrastructure
Experience:
β’ BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience
β’ Minimum 2 - 3 years of software engineering industry experience
β’ Proficiency in object-oriented programming
β’ Experience working with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
β’ Solid knowledge of distributed systems, relational and NoSQL databases
β’ Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team
β’ Bonus points:
β’ Experience pursuing side projects or open-source projects
β’ Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to improve developer productivity

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is $108,000-$135,000 CAD, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
