About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team at Manychat. This role focuses on building scalable frontend systems for our Chat Marketing platform, which serves over 1.5 million customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead high-complexity feature development by evaluating approaches, communicating trade-offs, and driving decisions that balance product value, speed, and scalability.
- →Lead technical discovery by researching edge cases, exploring system connections, and bringing insights to backlog refinement.
- →Shape product outcomes by challenging requirements when needed, offering alternatives, and ensuring the most efficient path forward.
- →Collaborate in a cross-functional team with backend engineers and designers, working closely with a product manager to shape solutions and align on outcomes.
- →Improve system quality and resilience by defining and monitoring key metrics, investigating issues, supporting incident analysis, and reducing tech debt.
- →Raise engineering standards through maintainable code, thoughtful architecture, and high-impact code reviews focused on patterns, performance, and long-term health.
- →Strengthen team execution by facilitating discussions, guiding teammates through decisions, and helping align the team on goals, risks, and constraints.
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- ✓A product-oriented mindset: you understand how users interact with the product, use this context to shape solutions, and make technical decisions that maximize business value.
- ✓Ability to tackle high-complexity engineering problems independently and reduce ambiguity through research and clear reasoning.
- ✓Strong grasp of browser mechanics, performance, rendering, and client-server interactions.
- ✓Strong communication in English and the ability to collaborate effectively.
