About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (PHP) to join our remote team. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining web-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the design, implementation, and long-term maintenance of web-based systems
- →Work closely with stakeholders to build features according to precise specifications
- →Author and manage comprehensive documentation to ensure system maintainability and knowledge sharing
- →Act as a technical escalation point for debugging complex software defects and supporting engineering teams
- →Develop and maintain deep domain knowledge of the company’s technical architecture to guide development strategy
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience building commercial-grade web applications with a deep understanding of Symfony
- ✓Proven track record of applying SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to create maintainable, scalable codebases
- ✓Strong experience in relational data modeling and hands-on management of MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL
- ✓3+ years of experience thriving in Scrum or Kanban environments
- ✓Ability to interface effectively with Business Analysts, fellow engineers, and end-users
- ✓Exceptional verbal and written English skills paired with an entrepreneurial, self-starting mindset
