You are a systems-minded service oriented professional who enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and scalability to complex environments. You think beyond individual requests and focus on how tools, workflows, and integrations should function cohesively across an organization as it grows. You are comfortable acting as both a technical owner and a product-minded stewardβbalancing stakeholder needs with long-term platform health, governance, and maintainability.

Responsibilities:
β’ Ownership, governance and maintenance of work management platforms and integrated tools. establishing and maintaining standards while maintaining a user-first mindset in responding to requests for automations and integration.
β’ Design, implement, and maintain advanced automations (e.g., ScriptRunner, native Jira automation) to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
β’ Support Information Technology team in providing support as a SME in a service desk oriented environment, playing an active role in defending against configuration sprawl and technical debt
β’ Establish and enforce governance and change management processes, including clear ownership, approval paths, and documentation for platform changes
β’ Assist with the creation and maintenance of internal documentation to enable consistent usage and reduce ad hoc requests.
β’ Designing and owning contract lifecycle management tools and the integrations therein.
β’ Partner closely with engineering, legal, and business operations to ensure a variety of SaaS work platforms support execution, visibility, and trusted reporting.
Qualifications:
β’ 3-5+ years working with SaaS platforms such as project management, collaboration or IT service tools, Experience administering and supporting business-critical platforms
β’ Understanding of Atlassian, Microsoft, and other SaaS workflows and automations
β’ Demonstrated ability to configure workflows, permissions, schemas, and reporting to support multiple teams
β’ Strong understanding of systems governance and data integrity with comfort in operating in environments with security, compliance, or regulatory constraints
β’ Experience ensuring accuracy, consistency, and auditability of data across systems with ability to identify manual processes and translate them into reliable, maintainable automations
β’ Familiarity with access controls, lifecycle management, and compliance-driven processes
β’ Ability to partner cross-functionally with IT, and People Ops in regular cadence
β’ Proven experience gathering requirements, assessing downstream impact, and aligning stakeholders before implementing changes
Nice to Have:
β’ Experience with working in IT oriented team / supporting broad stroke of users via a service desk environment
β’ Experience with agile start-up environments
This position is based on-site at Merlin HQ in Boston, MA.
