As a Sr. Business Analyst 1 (ServiceNow), you will lead the requirements gathering and process design for our federal agency clients. In this role, you will act as the critical bridge between federal business stakeholders and our technical development teams. You will be responsible for translating complex mission requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions, ensuring compliance with federal standards, and maintaining the highest quality of data in our backlog.

What youβll do:
β’ Bridge business and technology: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, document, and translate business requirements into actionable ServiceNow solutions.
β’ Drive process improvement: Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and recommend automation or optimization opportunities within ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB modules.
β’ Support solution development: Assist in configuration and customization efforts, dashboards, and reporting to deliver measurable business outcomes.
β’ Validate and enhance quality: Develop and execute test plans, verify configurations, and ensure ServiceNow solutions perform as intended.
β’ Communicate and align: Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business usersβfacilitating demos, gathering feedback, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
β’ Document and deliver: Maintain clear, comprehensive process maps, user stories, and technical documentation to support continuous improvement.
What youβll need to succeed:
β’ Active Secret Clearance Required.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
β’ ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or equivalent certifications.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years working with ServiceNow.
β’ Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB.
β’ Proven experience working in the federal contracting space (DoD, DHS, or Civilian agencies).
β’ Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
β’ Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
β’ Proficiency in process mapping and requirements documentation.
β’ Knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Glide API) and dashboard/report creation.
β’ Familiarity with SQL and data analysis techniques.
β’ Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
SALARY RANGE: $92,000 - $119,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
β’ The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
β’ The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
β’ Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
β’ This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
β’ Performance-based bonuses
β’ Company-paid training and/or certifications
β’ Referral bonuses
