As a Sr. Cloud Engineer II, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps practices, driving reliability and performance through infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines. This role requires strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams, ensuring cloud solutions align with business goals and industry best practice

What youβll do:
β’ Design and optimize cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring system reliability across production environments.
β’ Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and continuously improve performance and scalability.
β’ Review architecture, mentor team members, and drive initiatives that enhance our cloud capabilities and operational excellence.
What youβll need to succeed:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in an IT-related field
β’ The ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance
β’ 7+ years of experience building and supporting AWS Cloud and DevSecOps environments, including services such as EKS, EC2, and Lambda
β’ Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
β’ Strong experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Harness, CloudBees, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
β’ Experience integrating security into DevOps (DevSecOps), including secure-by-design principles, zero-trust architecture, vulnerability scanning, and automated security testing
β’ Familiarity with code quality and security tools (e.g., SonarQube, Nexus IQ, Checkmarx, Prisma Cloud)
β’ Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus) and data streaming technologies such as AWS Kinesis
β’ Proficiency in Linux and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
β’ Experience working in Agile environments, with strong collaboration and communication skills
SALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $161,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
β’ The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
β’ The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
β’ Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
β’ This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
β’ Performance-based bonuses
β’ Company-paid training and/or certifications
β’ Referral bonuses
