As Sr. Security Systems Administrator I, youβll deploy, operate, and maintain enterprise security systems in classified, enclave-based environments, ensuring systems are hardened, patched, and compliant with security baselines. The role manages access controls, audit logging, monitoring, and supports system migrations and integrations across hybrid infrastructures. Success requires strong Linux and/or Windows administration skills, STIG-based hardening expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in TS/SCI environments.

What youβll do:
β’ Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise security tools within a dedicated enclave
β’ Manage system hardening, patching, and compliance with security baselines
β’ Support migration activities, including system setup, validation, and cutover
β’ Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across hybrid environments
β’ Maintain access controls and audit logging for security systems
β’ Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure tools are properly integrated and operational
What youβll need to succeed:
β’ Active TS/SCI clearance
β’ 7+ years of experience administering and securing Linux and/or Windows systems in enterprise or classified environments
β’ 5+ years of hands-on experience with security hardening (STIGs/CIS), patch management, vulnerability remediation, and virtualization
β’ Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex system and integration issues in TS/SCI enclaves
β’ Strong experience administering Linux and/or Windows systems
β’ Experience with VMware virtualization environments
β’ Knowledge of system hardening standards (STIGs, CIS benchmarks)
β’ Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation
β’ Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls)
β’ Ability to troubleshoot complex system and integration issues
SALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $170,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
β’ The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
β’ The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
β’ Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
β’ This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
β’ Performance-based bonuses
β’ Company-paid training and/or certifications
β’ Referral bonuses
