Technical Project Manager at minted

The Role:  Bridges IT and business functions to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation and AI projects through effective project and portfolio management. Focused on optimizing business processes through technology while managing project intake, resource allocation, and strategic alignment. You will: • Business Partnership & Analysis • Partner with business units to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities • Conduct stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering sessions • Translate business needs into technical requirements and project scopes • Build and maintain strong relationships across departments • Project & Portfolio Management • Manage IT project and portfolio intake, prioritization, and delivery using Jira • Maintain portfolio roadmaps and ensure strategic alignment with business objectives • Oversee multiple concurrent projects from initiation through delivery • Allocate resources effectively across the project portfolio • Track project dependencies, risks, and interdependencies across initiatives • Establish and monitor project timelines, budgets, and success criteria • Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives for IT projects • Performance & Adoption • Create performance dashboards and ROI analyses for automation initiatives • Measure and report on project portfolio health and delivery metrics • Facilitate AI adoption and change management across the organization • Develop training materials and conduct user enablement sessions • Monitor adoption rates and gather feedback for continuous improvement • Governance & Communication • Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders • Manage vendor relationships and external resources • Create and maintain project management standards and best practices • Ensure compliance with IT governance and security requirements You have: • 5 years of experience in IT project management, business systems, or technology consulting • Strong expertise in Jira for project and portfolio management​, including custom workflows, dashboards, and reporting • Proven track record delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget • Experience managing project portfolios​, including intake, prioritization, and resource allocation • Experience with SaaS ecosystems, workflow automation, and system integrations • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and automation platforms • Excellent business acumen and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences • Outstanding communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills • Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) • Professional certifications: PMP, CBAP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent • ​Jira administration or Jira Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps certification • Experience with change management frameworks and adoption strategies • Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) • Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks • Experience managing AI or automation implementation projects • Experience with Confluence for documentation and knowledge management Bonus Points: • ​Well-versed in Generative AI solutions, prompt engineering, and the ability to leverage these tools for efficiency • Advanced proficiency in Jira​ for project tracking, portfolio planning, and reporting • Understanding of APIs and middleware platforms, like Make and Zapier. • Basic knowledge of data flows, system architectures, and security considerations • Ability to create custom Jira dashboards, filters, and reports Compensation:  The compensation range for the role applies to employment offers from Minted. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees. Minted utilizes a market-based compensation model with four geographic tiers. Final compensation is determined based on the candidate’s primary work location, defined as their residence within 60 miles of a metropolitan area: Geo 2: Boston, MA; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Portland, OR - $109,581 - $143,825 Geo 3: All other U.S. metro locations - $100,557 - $131,981 Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to professional and academic experience, associated job responsibilities, and/or other business or organizational needs. This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus and stock options.
