About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the MongoDB Query Team in building a state-of-the-art distributed query system. This role focuses on maintaining and improving optimization and execution frameworks, as well as developing new query language features to support customers' critical workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and maintain automated tests and testing frameworks for the MongoDB query engine
- →Design, develop, and maintain Performance automated tests and testing frameworks for the MongoDB query engine
- →Collaborate with peers to ensure testability and coverage for automating tests of both happy-path and edge-case scenarios
- →Identify, isolate, and document bugs within the database query system
- →Enhance and extend the automation framework to improve test coverage and performance testing
- →Review and approve testing plans for Query team projects
- →Provide feedback in code reviews focusing on code robustness and reliability
Requirements
- ✓Minimum 3 years of experience in QA automation or software development with a focus on test automation
- ✓Significant programming experience
- ✓Proficiency in writing and maintaining test automation for large codebases
- ✓Experience with testing multi-tiered backend systems
- ✓Solid foundation in computer science, with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture
- ✓B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- ✓Background in databases, data management systems, and understanding of database query engines is a strong plus
