About the Role

The MongoDB Cloud Services Team is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Insights and Telemetry (InTel) Team within Cloud Platforms. This role focuses on helping users understand the health and performance of their MongoDB deployments and developing tools that provide index and schema suggestions to improve database speed and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

→Collaborate with team members to develop tools for database diagnostics and operations
→Work on APIs and customer-facing UIs to empower MongoDB users to view and interact with their stored data
→Design and implement backend systems in compiled languages
→Contribute to the architecture of modern, scalable web applications
→Solve difficult problems in distributed environments

Requirements

✓Experience with backend systems in a compiled language (Java, C#, Go, etc.)
✓Backend engineering skills with a willingness to take on frontend tasks or full-stack development experience with a bias towards backend
✓Knowledge of database internals and tuning mechanisms, particularly indexing
✓Experience with the design and architecture of modern, scalable web applications
✓Strong problem-solving skills in distributed environments
