We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead and scale our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and site reliability practices. The ideal candidate will manage a team of engineers, own automation and deployment processes, ensure platform reliability and security, and collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional DevOps/Platform engineering team; recruit, set goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• CI/CD & Release Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and environments; enforce release standards, rollback strategies, and deployment best practices.
• Infrastructure as Code: Define and manage infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi); ensure reproducible, versioned environments across development, staging, and production.
• Cloud Architecture & Operations: Own cloud platform architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP or hybrid), capacity planning, cost optimization, and operational readiness; drive high availability and scalability.
• Automation & Tooling: Automate build, test, deployment, monitoring, and incident response workflows; evaluate and adopt DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Copado, Gearset, etc.).
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices across CI/CD, IaC, and runtime environments; collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements and conduct regular audits.
• Monitoring & SRE Practices: Define SLAs/SLOs, implement observability (metrics, logging, tracing), alerting, and on-call processes; lead post-incident reviews and drive reliability improvements.
• Integration & Collaboration: Work with development, QA, and product teams to streamline delivery workflows, improve test automation, and reduce lead time for changes.
• Configuration & Release Governance: Maintain version control standards, branching strategies, artifact repositories, and release documentation.
• Cost & Vendor Management: Drive cost management strategies for cloud and tooling spend; manage relationships with SaaS and vendor partners.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and onboarding documentation; promote best practices and training across teams.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles with 2+ years in a people manager or technical lead role.
• Cloud: Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and multi-account/multi-region architectures.
• CI/CD & DevOps Tooling: Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Copado, Gearset, or similar.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Containers & Orchestration: Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) and related tooling (Helm, Kustomize).
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, or similar) for automation.
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic, or similar stacks.
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, network security, secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and compliance frameworks.
• Source Control & Release Practices: Strong Git expertise and experience with branching/merge strategies, code review practices, and artifact management.
• Databases & Storage: Familiarity with managed database services, caching, and storage patterns.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technical tradeoffs to business outcomes.
• Certifications (preferred): AWS/Azure/GCP professional certifications, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform Certification.
