Sound Designer
A Sound Designer develops the entire sonic identity of a project, from subtle soundscapes and Foley to impactful sound effects, stock music, and immersive mixes. This role involves managing every stage of the audio process, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely completion that meets high creative and technical standards.
As the industry advances, so does this role. Professionals must continually explore new tools like generative AI for audio and stay informed about trends in immersive sound, adaptive audio, and emerging media platforms.
Working with the Sound & Music team or the Center of Excellence (CoE), you’ll collaborate closely with producers, creative directors, video editors, animators, and composers to enhance each project’s sonic experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on global content, including advertising, branded campaigns, and interactive media.
Requirements
• Over 5 years of experience in sound design, music editing, audio post-production, or related fields. Music composition skills are always a plus.
• Proven success in creating sound effects, Foley, dialogue editing, music, and final mixes.
• Skilled in Pro Tools and industry-standard plugins.
• Experience with sound libraries (both commercial and custom), field recordings, and virtual instruments.
• Solid knowledge of audio formats, loudness standards, and deliverables across platforms (TV, streaming, social, web, gaming).
• Bonus skills: immersive audio (Dolby Atmos, Ambisonics), orchestration, arrangement, voiceover direction.
• Familiar with generative AI audio tools (e.g., ElevenLabs, Google AI Studio, etc).
• Capable of delivering quality work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent English communication skills to clearly explain audio solutions and collaborate team-wide.
• Team-oriented mindset: comfortable giving and receiving feedback and working with all experience levels to foster a creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, edit, and mix sound effects, Foley, atmospheres, and dialogue.
• Source, select and edit stock music aligned with creative and brand goals.
• Synchronize and balance sound and music with picture accurately.
• Lead spotting sessions and evaluate audio/music needs during pre-production.
• Stay current with AI audio/music tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with producers, editors, animators, and directors to ensure alignment with creative vision.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in DAWs and streamline workflows.
• Maintain audio consistency and meet broadcasting/delivery standards.
Semi-Senior (task + project-focused)
• Manage projects independently, from sound design to mixing and simple compositions.
• Conduct pre-production assessments and plan audio/music needs.
• Suggest creative sonic and musical approaches for various media.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and optimize sessions.
• Take initiative, manage time well, and incorporate AI audio/music tools.
