About the Role
Join Moonpig as a Software Engineer (Platform) and help shape the core web platform that powers millions of meaningful customer moments. Based in London or Manchester with hybrid working, this role focuses on improving web developer efficiency, platform reliability, and scalable web infrastructure.
You’ll work within our Web Enablement team, contributing to a serverless, multi-app React and Next.js platform. From build optimisation to platform tooling, your work will enable teams across Moonpig to move faster, experiment confidently, and deliver high-quality customer experiences.
This role is scoped at mid-level, and we’re ideally looking for engineers operating at that level.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and enhance the core web platform and supporting services, including WAF, CDN (CloudFront), and GraphQL API Gateway
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise platform reliability, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate closely with engineers across teams, providing guidance and technical consultation
• Contribute to platform standards and best practices, helping define and evolve what “good” looks like
• Support build tooling and workflows, including Turborepo and CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to frontend testing practices and experimentation platforms (e.g. Eppo)
• Write clear, useful technical documentation tailored to different audiences
About You
• Proven experience in a professional web development environment (3+ years) using React and modern web technologies
• Strong understanding of TypeScript, React, Next.js, and modern CSS frameworks
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, Route53)
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate across engineering teams
• Interest in full-stack development, particularly platform engineering and infrastructure as code (Terraform/OpenTofu)
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and observability tools
• Experience contributing to agile teams, including pairing, mobbing, or collaborative delivery approaches
