Your Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented engineering or computer science student to join our Program Management team as a Software Product Owner (SW PO) Intern. In this capacity, you will work at the intersection of technical project management and software engineering, collaborating closely with our SW Product Owners to drive software-related deliverables toward defined project milestones.
Your contributions will be essential across the entire Software Development Life Cycle β from initial requirement elicitation to final series release. Serving as a key interface between Technical Project Management and our specialized development departments, you will gain deep insights into the complexities of Battery Management Systems (BMS). This includes exposure to embedded software architecture, functional safety standards (ISO 26262), and rigorous testing protocols. This internship offers a high-impact environment where you can apply agile management principles to the cutting edge of electric vehicle power electronics.
Your Future Tasks at a Glance
- Backlog Management: Support the SW Product Owner in refining, prioritizing, and maintaining the software backlog to ensure the development team has clear "ready" tasks
- Requirements Engineering: Translate high-level customer requirements into detailed software functional requirements and user stories
- Sprint Coordination: Assist in sprint planning and tracking progress toward project milestones, ensuring software deliveries align with overall system timelines
- Stakeholder Interface: Act as a point of contact between technical project management, software developers, and the testing team to ensure feature alignment and clarification
- Release Readiness: Support the documentation and tracking of software defects and feature completion for series release
What You Bring With You
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a strong interest in software management
- A fundamental understanding of software development processes (Agile/Scrum) and an interest in embedded systems or BMS architecture
- Analytical Skills: The ability to break down complex technical problems into logical, manageable steps
- High motivation to take ownership of tasks, excellent communication skills in English, and a collaborative "team-first" attitude
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or basic knowledge of Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety standards
