Your role
As a Project Lead (PL) at Munich Electrification, you are responsible for the end-to-end commercial and organizational success of complex BESS electronics projects. You ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal stakeholders, manage timelines, budgets, contracts, and maturity levels, and guarantee structured delivery from concept to industrialization. You act as the primary interface for all non-technical project topics and ensure business case adherence, financial transparency, and customer satisfaction throughout the full project lifecycle.
Your future tasks at a glance
- Lead cross-functional project teams on organizational and commercial matters.
- Own project planning, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing alignment, and resource allocation.
- Track and control project budget (Actuals vs. Business Case).
- Ensure contract awareness and compliance with agreed commercial terms.
- Manage maturity level tracking, overall timeline governance, and milestone reporting.
- Drive structured change management, including impact assessment on cost and timing.
- Act as primary interface for the project team.
- Establish and maintain structured escalation paths.
- Coordinate internal governance reviews and management reporting.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with business objectives.
- Support Design-to-Cost from a commercial steering perspective.
- Make sure the project is a success.
What you bring with you
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Project Experience: Proven experience in automotive or BESS project management for more than 3 years.
- Financial Skills: Demonstrated budget and cost responsibility.
- Commercial Knowledge: Strong understanding of contracts and commercial frameworks.
- Change Management: Experience in change management and customer negotiations.
- Stakeholder Skills: Strong stakeholder and escalation management skills.
- Mindset: High ownership mindset and structured working approach.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; German is a plus.
- Use AI tools to track project timelines, predict delays and risks, and automate reporting.
- Leverage data and AI-based dashboards to monitor project variables, analyze customer requirements, and support data-driven decisions.
- Derive insights on team velocity, resource gaps, and project performance using statistical and data-driven methods.
