About the role
We are looking for a Senior Developer (full stack) to drive the development of MYOB's SaaS based business platform. You will enable prospect to purchase and order to cash processes along with accounting, payroll and compliance needs for Mid-Market.
This is an important engineering role responsible for achieving technology modernisation objectives. It involves migrating to and maintaining the target state architecture for CRM and ERP solutions for the group.
Ensure that the MYOB Business platform is designed and implemented to optimise the sophisticated systems as a unified business platform
Take ownership of the integration platform as a domain expert. Apply the product, domain and system ownership mindset
Overall responsible for the solution design and architecture decision records for important engineering decisions
End to end ownership of the solution. Champion governance and data integrity in the ERP platform. For e.g. data hygiene, source of truth for CRM/ERP data sets, quality assurance, and automation.
Define, refine and incrementally move to a technical vision whilst delivering value across the business, customers and partners.
Data strategy and system ownership. Large scale data migration and integrations with Hubspot, Workday, Billing and CPQ software using various integration methods
Monitor system performance, data integrity and user activity to make recommendations and deploy continuous improvements
Help migrate from the remaining legacy systems to fit-for-purpose SaaS based solutions, to improve effectiveness and efficiency for business operations
Own and translate sophisticated business requirements and break them down into smaller initiatives to deliver value to customers incrementally. This includes tackling technical discovery to gain better understanding of the problem space
You will also contribute to creating a phenomenal team culture by role modelling a collaborative approach to working with team members, offering leadership, encouragement, mentoring and guidance, particularly to more junior developers.
What you'll bring
Fullstack conversant (AWS, Node.js, Kotlin). Proficient in the back-end technologies and open to learn new stack
Design, build, test and deploy software solutions including APIs, serverless and microservices
Excellent understanding of programming fundamentals and concepts.
Knowledge and experience practising engineering techniques such as DevSecOps, continuous delivery and progressive delivery on cloud native solutions.
An ability to clearly convey ideas, processes, concepts and practices to diverse groups
Pragmatism to balance short term delivery needs with longer-term strategic direction and objectives
A focus on delivery efficiency through fast feedback, evolutionary design and task automation.
An eagerness to develop and a dedication to consistently improve personal and team processes, practices and performance.
Work with lean and agile methods to quickly experiment and get things in front of customers early, and we like to iterate regularly!
