About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Lead Audio Mixer to support our various sports properties. This role involves leading all aspects of live broadcast audio production, delivering best-in-class sound for high-profile events, and setting technical standards for audio teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as Lead A1 for premier NBC Sports properties across remote and studio productions
- →Design, build, and execute complex live audio workflows for multi-platform sports broadcasts
- →Operate and program advanced digital mixing consoles (including Calrec systems)
- →Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Dante, AoIP, and IP-based audio infrastructures
- →Program and maintain intercom systems including RTS ADAM/AZ Edit environments
- →Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Comms, and Technical Management teams to ensure seamless integration of audio systems and workflows
- →Lead, mentor, and set expectations for less experienced mixers and freelance audio staff
- →Ensure consistency, clarity, and creative excellence in all elements of broadcast audio
- →Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly under live broadcast pressure
- →Maintain comprehensive knowledge of signal flow, routing, gain structure, and redundancy planning
