About the Role
We are looking for a Nuke Compositing Technical Lead to join our team. This role focuses on leading the technical creation of tools and workflows for compositing in Nuke.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the technical creation of Nuke gizmos and tools required for the final look
- →Author, maintain and improve show-specific compositing tools within Nuke for artists
- →Support, advise, educate and mentor artists around proper compositing workflows
- →Advise on and support show Nuke templates, standards and workflows
- →Create and maintain documentation on workflows, tools, process and procedures for compositing aspects related to the show
- →Perform creative lighting development setup as required using lighting and compositing tools
- →Integrate show specific needs from Look Dev into Nuke to allow artists to achieve final look
- →Initiate, setup, organize and document show specific Nuke gizmos and tools required for the final look
- →Perform technical work in support of shot compositing using various production tools
- →Interpret the creative notes from the Director, Production Designer, VFX Sup and Head of Look and work with department supervisors to come up with technical solutions
- →Work with Production Software Nuke Developer to determine studio compositing needs and maintain show gizmos
- →Serve as the compositing point person in production and technical meetings and reviews
- →Maintain knowledge of industry-standard trends and technology in the prescribed area(s) of expertise
Requirements
- ✓Strong experience with Nuke and compositing workflows
- ✓Technical expertise in creating and maintaining compositing tools
- ✓Ability to mentor and educate artists on proper workflows
- ✓Experience with lighting development and setup
- ✓Strong documentation skills
- ✓Knowledge of industry-standard trends and technology
